Boasting a career that spans nearly two decades, Head Chef Sean Cameron brings a wealth of diverse influences and inspirations to your dining experience at Elsewhere.
Sean's culinary journey began when he completed his trade qualification at the tender age of 19, a milestone that ignited his profound passion for food, especially after extensive travels through Southeast Asia. Sean has also embarked on a voyage across Europe.
He sought inspiration and expertise from illustrious establishments like St. Germaine by Joel Robuchon and Tom Aikens. He further honed his skills at renowned restaurants in Melbourne such as St. Crispin, Vue De Monde, and Eau De Vie.
Now, with two decades of rich experience under his belt, Sean has made Elsewhere his home. Alongside his young family, he brings his distinctive culinary style and philosophy to the vibrant community of Shepparton.
Sean competed in Food Service Australia’s ‘Chef of the Year’ competition in May 2024 as part of Australia’s Top 32 chefs of the year. Taking the competition by storm, Sean’s incredible debut led him to compete in the top 4 in the grand final. Although no official title in 2024, he’s still Elsewhere’s Chef of the Year.
